Get-Together in the Scorching Heat of the Ein Gev Kibbutz

Last week our entire team – social workers, rehab guides, therapists, workshop managers, office and maintenance staff of our center in the Harduf Kibbutz, and the staff of our sheltered housing community in Kiryat Tivon – altogether about 50-60 people, met for a fun get-together in the kibbutz of Ein Gev.

Ein Gev is located on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, with the Golan Heights rising above in the background. The Sea of Galilee lies about 200 meters below sea level – it is said to be the second lowest lake on the Earth, after the Dead Sea with about 400 meters below sea level, and the lowest freshwater lake. Thus, the area has similar weather to that of the Dead Sea area: HOT.

Since I didn’t go into the water to chill myself, I really suffered from the heat outside and spent most of the time in the air-conditioned community room we had at our disposal.

  1. Beautiful photos.
Hope you are well, especially in these troubled days.
I wish you a great year and of course, also many years after…

  2. the pictures show a beautiful country, but unfortunately one cannot forget the terrible pictures from autumn…it is a pity that we have centralised so many of your opponents here with our wrong immigration policy that we now have to suffer from the many demonstrations and attacks ourselves…wish that perhaps in 2024 we will finally succeed in ending the war, but this will certainly not be an easy undertaking, because the terrible pictures are still in our minds…wish you and your family and friends all the best and hopefully also good health!
