Finally We Met; Cactus Blossom

Last Friday I finally saw my son again. About 2 months ago we had just planned to meet, when the government ordered the lockdown to halt the Covid-19 spread and consequently, no one was permitted to leave the house, unless it was for medical purposes, to buy food, or to go to work if your workplace was on the list of essential workplaces.

These measures were significantly loosened last week, shops and businesses reopened and we are allowed to move quite freely again – provided that we wear a mask and keep social distancing.

So the first thing I did was go see my son, who lives in central Israel, about an hour’s drive away from my home in the north.

Although it was a very warm day, we went for a long walk through the fields and enjoyed nature. It felt so good to be with him, to see that he is doing fine, and that the whole corona business has not triggered new fears or anxieties in him. Although he temporarily lost his part-time job in a sushi bar, he is managing with his disability payment. And he is enjoying the extra free time.

♥ ♥ ♥

Whatever we surround ourselves with has an effect on us. Sometimes it even becomes part of us.

If I am often exposed to colorful flowers, I will carry them in my heart and they will influence how and what I see in life.

    1. Hi Werner. I think Israel is handling the corona issue quite similar to Germany. Only that here in Israel we stopped flights very early.
( My mother and sister live in Germany (Wiesbaden).) Thanks for your comment.

  1. Heila, Tubularsock is so glad that you and your son are doing well. These are trying times for sure but love ALWAYS wins even though it ,at times, may not seem like it.

So a tip of the saki to your son and you for always hanging in there when the times get rough.

    Peace be with you both.
